Why I’m testing donuts on my kids

If you've ever cringed at the idea of what our kids are eating at school, you're not alone.

When my daughter started school, I thought free lunches sounded amazing. But then I saw the menu: bagels, corn dogs, burritos... foods with long artificial ingredient list. My little girl, who loves her veggie-packed lunchbox, now comes home asking for cream cheese bagels instead of my home-cooked meals.

As a mom and immigrant, I couldn’t ignore the problem. How can one of the most innovative nations serve food like this to our kids? Instead of just accepting it, I decided to take action.

Together with my co-founder—who’s already launched 180+ keto products globally—we found the solution.

Our idea? Mini donuts for kids.

But these aren’t just any donuts. They’re:

  • Free from added sugar, palm oil, soy, and grains

  • Delicious and kid-approved (thanks to my daughter and her friends who’ve become my official taste testers!)

We’re finalizing the recipe by December and aiming to launch by March. It’s a new industry for me, but I’ve never felt more aligned with a project. This isn’t just about my daughter - it’s about every child who deserves better.

Imagine a future where kids eat better, feel better, and don’t face preventable health issues like diabetes by age 10. That’s the vision we’re working toward.

If you’re as passionate about this as I am, stay tuned – I’ll be sharing updates, challenges, and milestones as we bring this dream to life. And who knows, maybe one day, our donuts will be part of your family’s school lunches too.
