Hi there!!

Quick personal update.

I decided to change this newsletter's name. Starting today, it's called Future Proof.

I want to tell you why, because I think the reason matters more than the name.

Over the past year I've done about 50 podcast interviews. I sat with CEOs running billion-dollar companies, AI researchers, founders replacing teams by AI agents, and I asked all of them some version of the same question: what's happening to us?

What's happening to our careers?

What skills still matter in 3 years?

What should we be learning right now?

Whether college is still worth it and whether the jobs we trained for will exist when our kids grow up?

If you've been watching my podcast, you already know:

  • Yoshua Bengio, the man who won the ‘Nobel Prize of computer science’ for his work on AI, told us AI planning ability doubles every 7 months.

  • Ryan Roslansky, CEO of Linkedin, said 25% of skills on LinkedIn changed in 2 years.

  • Kian Katanforoosh, Stanford AI Expert, showed us data that 71% of professionals think they're better at AI than they actually are.

Now, the question is what to do about it?

The old name described my newsletter as a peek inside my business. And I love sharing how I build things. That won't stop. But the name didn't reflect what this community actually needs — and why 14,000+ of you actually open my letters every week.

You're here because the world is changing faster than anyone's giving you credit for. You want to know what's real, what's hype.

And from what I see you actually want to hear it from someone who spends her weeks talking to the people building this future and then goes home and actually tests it on a real company with real employees. That's what Future Proof is.

So the name is the promise: I'll help you stay ahead. Today the biggest shifts are in AI. In a few years it'll be something else. The point is that I'll always be in the room asking the questions, and I'll continue to bring the answers back here.

Nothing changes about how you get this email. You're already subscribed so you don't need to do anything.

Every edition will give you something you can actually use: an insight from a conversation that reframed how I think, a specific tool or skill worth your time, a real number from my own experience.

I want to say one more thing: I see the open rates on these emails. It tells me you're people who actually read, care, and who are genuinely trying to figure this out.

14,000 of you, and you show up every week. I don't take that for granted!!

It's a real privilege to write for readers like this 💜

So. New name. Let's go!

-Marina.

P.S. If you know someone who'd benefit from the type of insights I share on my newsletter, I'd love it if you forwarded this email. Growing this newsletter is one of my 2026 goals, and every share from someone who actually reads the newsletter means more than any ad ever could!
